Olympic fever, I think almost everyone has it. Team USA athletes have become the spokes-people of choice for almost everyone, from Kellogs to Subway for the next 17 days everyone is a fan.
Everyone wants their favorite to win the coveted gold medal.
And to cheer on our favorite competitors, and celebrate with them, here is a list of my favorite gold medal worthy gold accessories from the bottom up!
On Your Feet:
Jack Rogers Hamptons Navajo in Gold. Classic Jacks, I simply adore these shiny take off on the traditional Jacks. While I still don't have any Jacks in my closet, they are on the short list of things to buy with my first paycheck.
Steve Madden's Ilussion in Black Gold. The pumps combine several of my favorite things, heals, toe caps, and anything Steve Madden. Yes, they are technically "stilettos" however, at 4 and 1/2 inches, they are not in any way "find me a pole" shoes. They keep it classy and stylin' with a little bit of edge.
Around Your Waist:
I stumbled across this gem almost a year ago while browsing Spotted Moth and making my Christmas List. My favorite part of it is the fact that the glitter is individual, not just a belt that is glittered.
On Your Nails:
Polish that is! OPI's Glitzerland is a great gold color! It's not quite as yellowish as some golds, but for a pale girl that's a benefit, otherwise I end up looking sickly. Personally, I wear it for rugby tournaments as a little hint of sparkle and a point to my opponents, watch out, we're taking home first.
In Your Hands:
Kate Spade's Ruby Street Bow Monette is for those fancier occasions. A cute little clutch that speaks for its self, it will have you drooling. Perfect for those little black dresses and summer wedges.
On Your Wrist:
One of my favorites in gold from Tiffany and Co., the Tiffany Notes Bangle is stunning. The touch of flair from the writing on the bangle is just what a plain gold bangle needs. The size is wonderful, not to chunky and not to skinny for an owner to worry about the bangle snapping.
On Your Eyes:
My ever-loved Urban Decay makes a great liquid eyeliner, and for some fun gold and sparkle look no further than Urban Decay's 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. Words can not describe how much I love this eyeliner. It's the first liquid eyeliner that I can actually put on properly, and the formula dries quickly so you won't have any unsightly smudges on the top of your lid. Run, don't walk to the store and get yourself one, or all of them. It doesn't matter. I wear "Smog" as part of my daily make up.
Keep it classy and be a good and gracious sport,
~E
